Every day, lots of new scam tokens are delivered to our wallets as airdrops, which we ignore. However, some misleading information exists on the SPHYNX website, which may cause someone to get scammed.
The SPHYNX website (https://thesphynx.co) displays an extremely high and enticing value for these worthless tokens.
For example, it tells me that I have:
Dex88.org (SCAM token) $265,000
AGMC.io $265,000 (SCAM token)
The victim may then be tempted to check their website (which is the same as the token's name because it only wants to take the victim to the phishing website) to see why the amount is so high.
They usually have a button that says "Get your airdrops!" or "Release your airdrops!" on their websites, then it gets connected to your metamask and sends you a notification asking you to sign the "spend approval" for a token other than itself.
If you don't check the details (it's entirely possible that a first-time user won't be able to distinguish between different approvals from metamask). It will quickly withdraw all spend-approved tokens from the wallet.
The suspicious issue here is why the SPHYNX website displays an exaggerated value for these notorious tokens in particular and why it allowed these well-known scam tokens to be listed in its wallet.
