I am sure many of you have received these scam messages via text recently, a seeminly normal text from your bank (Natwest, Lloyds and Barclays usually) which says that you have a payment to be forwarded to you or some sort of reward once you login.
They also kindly provide a link for you to click on, which if it isn't obvious reading this, you should never ever click on.
The goal of the scam page is too look identical to your usual banking website, they are likely to have stolen the HTML code directly from the banking website and editing it from the back-end in order to capture your details.
This is the goal of the scam.
They want you to enter your details so they can either sell them on, or trigger a transfer without you being aware you are doing so. A bank will never call you out the blue, or send you a link you should click on. Always search for the bank first.
If you have been a victim of this scam, or a varient, let us know.
